Everybody has (or will have) encountered the problem of standing waves in their listening rooms. They 'll compound the trouble of Finding the right spot for your speakers, .as they' ll may boost (or Depress) Their low frequency response.
Standing waves are a universal problem in * all * have rooms That parallel Walls. Just as a pool table That is not perfectly parallel is Unacceptable, so shouldnt be listening rooms * do * That parallel Walls have.
This is Where this call for audiophile architects to step to the plate comes in handy.
If the most Likely room for the future owner's sound system in a new home (or an apartment building) includes an "error" of say one degree in the lateral Walls, That will Swiftly do away with the standing waves problem and make That audiophile's life That more enjoyable.
BUT here is the best part: Such a build feature Could (shouldnt) be marketed as a plus, Aimed at that niche of prospect Buyers Which, experience Tells, usually have a higher purchase power, Thus propelling sales.
Now, if this is a win-win situation, why do not we see sales ads boasting this? I believe it is Because the "brute" phase of a project is left at the sole discretion of civil engineers, When Such an input from Architects Would add value to the final product and cater to a Meaningful slice of the real estate market.
Disclaimer: I am an audiophile, NOT an architect.

That is correct, Ayal. I live in Israel (Ramle), but do not yet speak Hebrew. I am sorry, Tomer.
I think I will not write again until I learn the language.

It feels really lonely, not being able to talk to people, make new friends.
In Brazil I went to college, was a journalist for high end audio magazines. Here I am still an "ignoramus".

Aharon, are you able reading Hebrew?

I'm assuming you're using an automatic translator?
Regarding your argument - Did I understand you correctly, that you propose to market defects in construction which result in nonparallel walls, as a sales pitch to audiophiles on the market for a new accommodation?

Aharon
Welcome to Israel and happy passover.
Sorry for the some what cold welcome to Dtown - at Israeli forums writing in English considered to be some what impolite...

As written by 'Brktz '(Comment #6) Isreali construction is far from state of the art strait walls and 90 degree wall corners so that we inherent listening rooms will a little problem,if at all,of standing wave sounds.

Never the less: some times people do come into the standing waves problem - and, solve it in a variant ways - from repositioning speakers to acoustic treatment to the listening rooms.

Others... live with it with or without knowing what is the problem and how to solve it

Have fun

Menahem.

This is not part of the architect job, but rather acoustic consultant.
I asked my wife, I remembered they worked with Shemi Mashiah, today they more work with Mem Gimel

If you have deep pockets, you can build whatever you want..

Regarding English language - there are plenty of forums abroad and specifically these targeting acoustics, for example http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/rew-forum/

Exactly. Perfectly parallel walls are bad for audio.

Ok, with your permission I'll be as blunt and rude as I usually am in Hebrew:

Assuming that what you said was serious and not an anecdotal joke, then:
Offering this ingenious "marketing plan" to real estate sales people - to target audiophiles when trying to sell homes with construction imperfections - makes as much practical sense as trying to sell a leaking, mold infested ceiling to people who like botany, for the following reasons:
1. Very small and niche target audience. How the heck do you think sales people will be able to target "audiophiles"? What's the percentage of people in the population who are in the market NOW for a new home? And out of them how many are audiophiles? Or from the opposite direction - how many "audiophiles" in this forum are on the marketing for a home NOW? Bottom line, it's impractical from the marketing perspective.

2. A defect is still a defect. Crooked walls might indicate additional defects in construction, or at least that would be the first thought of a person hearing your eccentric argument.

3. The most important: It doesn't work. I live in a house that was built in the early 60's. Walls are made of sand and rubble, they are a few cm's off the perfect vertical and parallel lines. And my standing waves are still live and kicking.
